Oscar Naasei eyes first Real Madrid call-up amid injury crisis

Real Madrid defender Oscar Naasei is a candidate for his first senior squad call-up ahead of the La Liga match against Villarreal on Saturday, October 10. The 21-year-old Ghanaian centre-back, who joined the club from Granada, has been training with the first team following a defensive injury crisis.

Head coach Jose Mourinho is facing a shortage of available defenders due to several setbacks. Dean Huijsen is unavailable via suspension, Raul Asencio is recovering from surgery, and Eder Militao remains sidelined. Additionally, Ibrahima Konaté is being managed following a recent knock.

Naasei has been a consistent performer for Real Madrid Castilla this season, appearing in all six matches. His ability to play both centre-back and right-back has reportedly strengthened his position as Mourinho evaluates options for the upcoming fixture.
