Oscar Ortíz nominated for Premios Juventud 2026

Oscar Ortíz has received his first nomination for the 2026 Premios Juventud in the Best Mexican Music Album category for his debut record, 'Silencio Habla.' The album features a fusion of cumbia, sad sierreño, and pop.

Ortíz, originally from Tijuana, has seen significant commercial success, reaching the Billboard Top 5 with tracks such as 'Y Si Te Vas' (featuring Carin León) and 'Escondidas' (featuring Gabito Ballesteros). His viral single 'First Love,' a collaboration with Edgardo Nuñez, has amassed over 382 million Spotify streams and 211 million YouTube views, earning recognition from BMI as one of the top 50 most played Latin songs of 2024.

The Premios Juventud 2026 ceremony is scheduled to take place on September 3 in Marbella, Spain, and will be broadcast by Univision. Fans can cast their votes for Ortíz until August 10.
