Oscar Piastri says McLaren lacks grip, qualifies seventh at Monaco GP

Australian driver Oscar Piastri qualified seventh at the Monaco Grand Prix, saying the McLaren had a persistent lack of grip and there were "not many levers you can pull" to close the gap to the leaders. He noted the car felt a bit nicer in qualifying than in practice but remained significantly off the pole pace, finishing about 0.57 seconds behind Andrea Kimi Antonelli.

Piastri also highlighted ongoing development work, such as reverting to an older front wing after testing a new design in Montreal, and the need to manage the power unit carefully. His teammate Lando Norris suffered a battery failure in practice, adding to the team's challenges over the weekend.
