Oscar Piastri discusses McLaren performance and adaptation challenges

McLaren driver Oscar Piastri has addressed his recent struggles with form and the difficulties of adapting to the current technical regulations. Speaking ahead of the United States Grand Prix, the Australian driver noted that while his performance during the recent triple header was closer to his expectations, he is not yet at the level he aspires to reach.

Piastri highlighted a significant mental challenge in adjusting his driving style, noting that techniques which were successful in previous seasons have caused issues with this year’s car. He observed that Red Bull has established itself as the fastest and most consistent competitor, while Ferrari has also shown increased strength.

Despite the challenges, Piastri expressed optimism regarding recent progress and the team's management under CEO Zak Brown and team principal Andrea Stella. He indicated that while the car's development is ongoing, he is working to identify the necessary adjustments to improve his pace.
