OSCE deploys 207 observers for Russian State Duma elections

The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) has deployed an observation mission consisting of 207 people to monitor the elections for the Russian State Duma.

Ilhom Nematov, Deputy Secretary General of the OSCE, stated that the mission is conducting its observations based on the principles of transparency, neutrality, and non-interference in the internal affairs of the Russian Federation, while adhering to Russian legislation.

Nematov noted that no violations affecting the voting results have been detected so far. He reported that polling stations are equipped with necessary conditions, including ballot boxes and electronic voting terminals. Additionally, observers from other nations, including Kenya and Congo, have described the voting process as calm, fair, and transparent.
