OSEF partners with Farmacity to expand medication access nationwide
The Obra Social del Estado Fueguino (OSEF) has signed an agreement with the pharmacy chain Farmacity to expand medication access for its members. This partnership allows OSEF affiliates to obtain prescriptions at various locations throughout the country, utilizing Farmacity’s network of over 300 branches.
The agreement was formalized during a meeting involving Tierra del Fuego Governor Gustavo Melella and OSEF President Gustavo García. The initiative aims to resolve previous difficulties faced by members when traveling or residing outside of the Tierra del Fuego province, ensuring more agile and immediate access to healthcare needs.
According to OSEF leadership, incorporating private providers like Farmacity is part of a broader strategy to reorganize the social security agency and increase the reach of its medical benefits.
