O’Shaquie Foster unifies super featherweight titles in victory over Emanuel Navarrete

O’Shaquie Foster secured a dominant unanimous decision victory over Emanuel Navarrete at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas, to unify the super featherweight division. By winning the bout, Foster successfully defended his WBC title and captured the WBO and IBF belts previously held by the Mexican fighter.

The judges scored the contest 118-108, 118-108, and 115-111 in favor of Foster. While Navarrete attempted to apply pressure throughout the fight, Foster utilized superior movement, speed, and counterpunching to control the distance. The fight reached a dramatic conclusion in the twelfth round when Foster scored two knockdowns against Navarrete with heavy right hands.

With this win, Foster moves closer to becoming the undisputed champion at 130 pounds, needing only the WBA title—currently held by Anthony Cacace—to complete the feat. Foster has expressed interest in facing the winner of the upcoming Cacace vs. Nick Ball bout, as well as potential future matchups against Shakur Stevenson or Vasiliy Lomachenko.
