Oshiba Kogen to host drone and fireworks festival in 2026

The Oshiba Kogen area in Minamiminowa Village, Nagano Prefecture, is set to host the ‘Inajoto Night Sky Festival INA 2026’ on October 24, 2026. This collaborative event aims to unite various local municipalities, businesses, and residents. The festival will feature a synchronized performance of 3,000 fireworks and a drone show utilizing 500 units of the ‘DSJ MODEL-X’, a domestically developed drone co-developed by Drone Show Japan and Swany Co., Ltd.

The festival coincides with the final day of the Oshiba Kogen Illumination Festival. This ongoing illumination event features approximately 350 unique light installations, including anime-themed motifs and repurposed traffic lights, creating a large-scale light art display visible from a seven-meter observation tower.
