Osijek and Banja Luka expand paid parking zones

Osijek is expanding its paid parking zone I to additional streets starting Wednesday, October 21. The parking fee is set at one euro per hour. Charging in zone II is scheduled to begin in November. The expansion covers various locations including Gornjodravska obala, Josipa Jurja Strossmayera Street, and several areas around Trg Ljudevita Gaja and the Tvrđa district.

Parking fees in Osijek apply on weekdays from 7:00 to 21:00 and on Saturdays from 7:00 to 15:00. No fees are collected on Sundays or public holidays. Drivers must purchase a ticket within 15 minutes of parking.

In Banja Luka, the city has initiated the process of expanding paid parking zones to improve access for residents in specific neighborhoods. While new streets have been legally included in the regulations to create a basis for charging, actual enforcement will only begin once technical requirements, such as the installation of parking machines and traffic signage, are met. The city stated that the expansion will follow a planned dynamic based on technical readiness and feedback from local residents and property owners.
