Regional festivals promote culture and tourism in Croatia and Serbia

Various regional cultural, sporting, and gastronomic festivals are scheduled across Croatia and Serbia to promote local traditions and extend the tourism season.

In Croatia, Poreč is hosting the PromoArh construction fair and preparing for major sporting events like ISTRIA300 and IRONMAN 70.3. The HeadOnEast festival returns to Osijek in October, featuring music, art, and the Mastercard Uplift project. Baška is hosting the 12th Baška Outdoor Festival, focusing on cycling and trail running, while Bilogora prepares for its autumn event featuring local food and music.

In Serbia, the Miholjski susreti sela (Miholj Village Encounters) series is celebrating rural heritage. Events in Ratkovac and Beočin include traditional games, folk music, and local culinary specialties. Minister for Rural Care Milan Krkobabić emphasized the importance of these gatherings in preserving traditional sounds and cultural identity through folk instruments and singing.
