Osijek apartment construction rises to 1,000 units in 2025

In 2025, the Osijek-Baranja County saw a significant increase in residential construction, with 1,000 apartments completed. This marks a notable rise compared to 567 units in 2024 and 648 units in 2023.

The most frequently constructed types were two-bedroom and four-bedroom apartments, with 282 units completed in each category. Other completions included 240 three-bedroom apartments and 106 five-bedroom apartments. The total area of all completed apartments in the county reached 89,018 square meters.

This regional growth mirrors a national trend in Croatia, where total apartment completions rose to 18,338 in 2025, up from 16,654 in 2024. Real estate professionals report high demand for two-bedroom units, often purchased by young couples, and that available properties are selling quickly in areas such as Gornji Grad, Donji Grad, and Retfala.
