Osijek-Baranja County signs contract for new Autism Center

Osijek-Baranja County has signed a contract to develop project documentation for the reconstruction and repurposing of the former OLT administrative building into the Autism Center Osijek. The contract, valued at 187,500 euros, was signed with the company Respect-ing and includes a six-month deadline for completion.

The project aims to transform approximately 4,015 square meters of space into a centralized facility for educational, rehabilitative, and social services. The center will serve children, students, and adults on the autism spectrum, providing psychosocial support and half-day care for individuals over the age of 21.

Planned facilities include classrooms, art and music workshops, Snoezelen rooms, sensory rooms, and offices for specialists such as speech therapists, psychologists, and occupational therapists. The site will also feature an outpatient clinic, a day center with social games, a pottery workshop, a gymnastics hall, and outdoor playgrounds.
