Osijek ranked second in Europe for quality of life vs cost

Osijek has been ranked as the second-best European city for quality of life relative to cost of living, according to an analysis by the Canadian portal Visual Capitalist. The study compared 125 European cities using Numbeo data, evaluating the balance between high living standards and daily expenses.

Osijek achieved a quality of life score in the 98.8th percentile while maintaining a cost of living in the 27.6th percentile, indicating a highly favorable ratio. It was surpassed in the quality of life percentile only by The Hague in the Netherlands. Other cities noted for a similar balance of high quality and moderate costs include Porto, Rijeka, Split, and Plzeň.

Osijek mayor Ivan Radić described the ranking as a significant recognition of the city and a confirmation of the quality of life that residents already experience.
