Osijek searches for new sporting director

HNK Osijek is currently seeking a new sporting director following the recent departure of Kenneth Zandvliet after only five months. The club is evaluating several candidates to provide stability and a clear sporting vision.

Mindaugas Nikoličius has emerged as a prominent candidate. The Lithuanian official previously gained recognition for his work at Gorica and his tenure at Hajduk Split, where he was involved in bringing in high-profile players such as Marko Livaja and Ivan Perišić.

Another potential candidate mentioned in football circles is Goran Boromisa, who has prior experience working with Osijek's current coach, Federico Bessone, at Olimpija Ljubljana. Additionally, assistant sporting director Márk Makrai is noted as a possible internal option, though this is considered less likely.
