Osijek takes HNL lead after defeating Dinamo Zagreb

NK Osijek has taken the lead in the Croatian First Football League (HNL) following a 4-2 victory over Dinamo Zagreb at the Opus Arena. The win highlights the positive impact of Osijek coach Federico Bessone, whose optimistic leadership and tactical approach have earned significant support from fans, even following recent setbacks.

In contrast, the defeat marks the first league loss for Dinamo Zagreb in 28 matches. The result has sparked intense dissatisfaction among Dinamo supporters, with many calling for the departure of coach Mario Kovačević. Kovačević described the performance as the team’s worst under his leadership, citing a poor first half and the physical toll of European competition as contributing factors to the team's recent inconsistent form.
