Osimo Mayor defends sports facility maintenance after roof leaks

Osimo Mayor Michela Glorio has rejected accusations of negligence regarding local sports facilities following a severe thunderstorm that caused heavy water infiltration at the PalaBaldinelli arena. The incident forced the interruption of a Project Basket basketball game, which was ultimately recorded as a loss.

In an official statement, Glorio emphasized that maintaining sports infrastructure is a priority for the administration. She noted that 80,000 euros have been allocated for repairs to the PalaBaldinelli roof, with the contract currently in the procurement phase. Additionally, the Mayor reported that over half a million euros have been spent on the routine maintenance of sports facilities and gyms within the municipality during 2026.
