OSIPTEL reports increase in mobile internet speeds

According to the Mobile Internet Monitoring Panel of OSIPTEL, average 4G download speeds increased during the first half of 2026, reaching 12.88 Mbps compared to 11.71 Mbps in the same period of 2025.

Among mobile operators, Claro recorded the highest average download speed at 13.31 Mbps, followed by Entel at 12.86 Mbps, Bitel at 12.73 Mbps, and Movistar at 12.30 Mbps. Other performance indicators showed improvements, including a national average latency of 53.96 ms and a 4G coverage time of 92.48%. Data packet loss also decreased to an average of 0.74%.
