Oskar Kubiak rises from construction work to Champions League

Polish footballer Oskar Kubiak has experienced a rapid ascent from the lower tiers of Polish football to the UEFA Champions League. The 20-year-old winger, currently playing for Slavia Prague, revealed in an interview that while playing for Wda Świecie in the third league, he worked manual labor jobs on construction sites to supplement his income.

Kubiak noted that the physical demands of carrying and sweeping on construction sites, combined with daily training sessions, left him permanently exhausted. This experience taught him the critical importance of physical recovery and rest.

His professional trajectory accelerated quickly following stints with Sokoła Kleczew and Arka Gdynia. After moving to the Czech Republic, he debuted in the Czech league and played in the Champions League against RC Lens just five days later.
