Oskar Wojcik makes Bundesliga debut for Werder Bremen

Oskar Wojcik made his Bundesliga debut for Werder Bremen during a 3-2 home victory against FC Augsburg. The 23-year-old Polish defender entered the match in the 79th minute, replacing Amos Pieper.

Wojcik had previously faced delays in his debut due to a calf muscle injury sustained during the pre-season, which caused him to miss several matches. Following his appearance, Werder coach Daniel Thioune praised the defender's qualities and his ability to compete at the Bundesliga level.

In reflections on his transfer from the Polish club Cracovia, Wojcik noted that while the intensity and training standards in Germany are higher, he does not believe there is a colossal difference in quality between the Bundesliga and the Ekstraklasa.
