Oslo court remands man in connection with Mustafa Ahmed murder investigation

A 32-year-old man has been remanded in custody for four weeks by the Oslo District Court on suspicion of murder or complicity in the murder of Mustafa Ahmed. The suspect, a previously convicted individual, was apprehended at Ringerike prison.

Mustafa Ahmed was reported missing on October 8, 2024, after his last confirmed sighting in the Torshov area of Oslo on the night of September 30, 2024. Ahmed's vehicle was later discovered on Lammers gate in Torshov. Following an investigation involving witness interviews, searches, and electronic evidence, police shifted the case to a murder investigation in the spring of 2025.

The suspect has denied all charges and declined to provide a statement to the police or the court, stating, “I have nothing more to explain.” His defense attorney, Knut Ditlev-Simonsen, confirmed that the client does not plead guilty. The court has imposed restrictions on correspondence and visitation for the duration of the detention.
