Oslo hospital projects secure major infrastructure contracts

Major healthcare infrastructure projects in Oslo are moving into new construction phases. Firesafe Entreprenør has secured a contract with Helse Sør-Øst RHF to provide fire and soundproofing for the new Aker Hospital. This facility is intended to become one of Norway’s largest acute care hospitals, integrating somatic care, mental health services, and specialized addiction treatment.

Separately, Skanska Norge has signed a 392 million NOK contract with Sykehusbygg HF to construct a new technical center, F2, at the new Rikshospitalet. The 4,400-square-meter facility will manage critical infrastructure, including energy supply, cooling, medical gas distribution, emergency power, and ICT systems. Construction for the technical center is scheduled to run from August 2026 through June 2028.
