Osman Demirtaşlar wins IDPA European Championship

Osman Demirtaşlar, a shooting instructor with the Antalya Police Department, has been crowned the European Champion in the ‘Military’ category at the 2026 IDPA European Championship held in Poland.

Demirtaşlar, who has been a professional IDPA competitor for four years, competed against elite police officers, special forces personnel, and professional athletes. During the competition, he performed approximately 250 shots across various courses.

A veteran officer who began his career in 2003, Demirtaşlar has served as a shooting instructor for 16 years. He is part of a specialized 14-person training team in Antalya, providing advanced operational training—including urban combat, building and vehicle operations, and vehicle evacuation—to approximately 20,000 personnel annually.
