Osman Demirtaşlar wins IDPA European Championship

Osman Demirtaşlar, a shooting instructor for the Antalya Police Department, has won the ‘Military’ category at the 2026 IDPA European Championship held in Poland. Demirtaşlar, who has been in the profession since 2003, competed against various international police, military, and special forces personnel.

As a member of a specialized 14-person training cadre, Demirtaşlar provides advanced operational training to approximately 20,000 personnel annually. His instruction covers high-level operational shooting, urban combat, building and vehicle operations, and vehicle evacuation procedures.

Following his victory in Poland, Demirtaşlar stated that his next goal is to compete in the Balkan Championship scheduled to take place in Hungary.
