Osmangazi Municipality hosts Peace Island children's play

The Osmangazi Municipality hosted a free performance of the children's play ‘Barış Adası’ (Peace Island) at the Osmangazi Show Center. Produced by the Bursa State Theatre with support from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the production aimed to introduce children to theater and promote themes of friendship, sharing, and solidarity.

Written by Turgay Yıldız and directed by Ebru Kara, the play follows two sailors, Miço Kiçi and Miço Miçi, who find themselves stranded on a deserted island after their ship sinks during a storm. The story depicts their struggle to share the island and their adventures leading up to an island presidency election, ultimately emphasizing peace and brotherhood over conflict.

Following the performance, actors Cansu Yılmaz and Ozan Kaya were presented with plaques by the municipality in recognition of their contributions.
