Osmangazi Municipality hosts Women Entrepreneurs Republic Street event

Osmangazi Mayor Erkan Aydın visited the ‘Women Entrepreneurs Republic Street’ event held at Şehreküstü Square to support local female producers. Organized as part of the 103rd anniversary of the Republic, the initiative provided stalls for women’s cooperatives, associations, and village cooperatives to showcase handmade goods and regional products.

Mayor Aydın emphasized the importance of strengthening women’s economic independence and visibility. He noted that the event aimed to transform the high foot traffic from Republic Day celebrations into an economic opportunity for women to generate income and foster solidarity. The municipality intends to continue providing platforms for women to integrate their production into the local economy through similar recurring organizations.
