Osmangazi Municipality nears completion of Selçukgazi Natural Life Center

Osmangazi Municipality is nearing the completion of the Selçukgazi Natural Life Center in Bursa, a facility designed to provide safe and natural living conditions for stray animals. The project is being implemented in two stages across a total area of 69,000 square meters.

The first stage covers 30 acres and includes 16 paddocks, each one acre in size, with a capacity for 1,600 dogs. This phase focuses on providing space for animals that have undergone medical checks, sterilization, and rehabilitation processes.

The second stage will span 39 acres and is designed to accommodate an additional 3,900 dogs. Once both stages are complete, the center will have a total capacity of 5,500 animals. Osmangazi Mayor Erkan Aydın stated that the facility is expected to be operational within a few weeks, noting that work is currently at the 90 percent completion level.
