Osmangazi Municipality to host Mythology Film Week in Bursa

The 4th Mythology Film Week, themed ‘The Common Story of Humanity’, will be hosted by Osmangazi Municipality in Bursa on October 16-17, 2026. Supported by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism’s General Directorate of Cinema, the festival is part of a larger event spanning six cities: Ankara, Bursa, Aydın, İzmir, Istanbul, and Gaziantep.

The Bursa program features a diverse schedule including short film screenings, academic panels, thematic concerts, exhibitions, and ancient cuisine tastings. On the first day at the Panorama 1326 Bursa Conquest Museum, attendees can watch finalist short films such as ‘Pharaoh’, ‘Mori’, and ‘The Galaxy’s Tezenesi’. Discussions will include topics like ‘Geyikli Baba and Anatolian Legends’ and the connection between mythology and dreams.

The second day will take place at the Ördekli Cultural Center, featuring talks on ‘Odysseus’s Journey’ and ‘Ancient Tastings’ to explore the culinary heritage of past civilizations.
