Osorno adds three midfielders as Unión pursues more signings amid transfer restrictions

Chilean second‑division side Club Deportivo Osorno announced the loan signing of three midfielders to strengthen its campaign for promotion. The arrivals include 20‑year‑old defensive midfielder Rubén Vera from Deportes Melipilla, 20‑year‑old attacking midfielder Héctor Canelo, also on loan, and experienced 30‑year‑old midfielder Luis Oyarzo, who brings a lengthy career in Chilean football. The trio is intended to boost Osorno’s midfield options ahead of the season‑ending liguilla.

In Argentina, Primera División team Unión de Santa Fe, coached by Leonardo Madelón, is seeking additional reinforcements but must first resolve existing sanctions that prevent the registration of new players. The club is negotiating with Juventud de Las Piedras and Nacional of Paraguay to lift the inhibitions, while targeting a left‑back, a central defender and possibly a midfielder. Recent sales of Rafael Profini and Mateo Del Blanco have opened two foreign‑player slots that remain available until 2 September. Forward Agustín Colazo’s potential move to Aldosivi fell through, leaving him at Unión with his future still uncertain.
