Ospitalità Italiana certifies 25 authentic Italian restaurants in Mexico City
The Ospitalità Italiana seal, an international certification created by the Union of Chambers of Commerce of Italy (Unioncamere) in partnership with Mexico's National Institute of Tourism Research (ISNART), guarantees authentic Italian cuisine abroad. Restaurants must use certified Italian ingredients, follow traditional recipes and undergo regular evaluations to retain the seal.
In Mexico City, 25 establishments have earned the certification, joining a national total of about 4,000 Italian‑specialized restaurants out of more than 720,000 eateries in the country. Salvador Villalobos, executive president of the Consejo de la Comunicación, highlighted that the seal recognises the entire production chain that supports these restaurants and strengthens the local economy.
