Ospreys defeat Dragons in return to St Helen’s
The Ospreys secured a 31-14 victory over the Dragons in the United Rugby Championship, marking their first match at the redeveloped St Helen’s ground in Swansea in approximately 20 years.
Played during Storm Boelo in heavy rain and wind, the match saw Reuben Morgan-Williams score two tries for the Ospreys. Other scores came from Sam Parry and Ross Moriarty. The Dragons managed two tries through Rio Dyer and Anzelo Tuitavuki, but struggled with discipline, receiving three yellow cards during the encounter.
Martin Anayi, chief executive of the United Rugby Championship, noted that the rebuilt venue is already seeing commercial success, with sponsorship and season ticket sales doubling compared to last year. He described the ground as a sustainable community asset for Swansea and Wales.
