OsteoStrong expands to Cyprus following bone density research
OsteoStrong Greece & Cyprus has announced plans to expand its network by opening a new center in Nicosia within the year. The company, which has operated in Greece since 2019 with four centers in Athens, Marousi, Glyfada, and Thessaloniki, aims to increase its geographic presence and client base through this move into the Cypriot market.
The company utilizes osteogenic loading, a method involving the Spectrum system to apply controlled mechanical loads to bones and muscles for approximately 10 minutes per week.
Recent scientific research published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism (JCEM) supports the method. A study led by Dr. Georgios P. Chrousos involving 147 women showed that participants using the OsteoStrong program alone saw an average increase of approximately 1.4% in lumbar spine bone density and a 1.7% increase in trabecular bone score (TBS). When combined with anti-osteoclast medication, the study reported average increases of approximately 3.8% in lumbar spine bone density and 3.3% in TBS.
