Ostia Antica station modernization on track for 2027

Astral Spa has announced that the redevelopment and modernization of the Ostia Antica station is proceeding according to schedule, with completion expected by spring 2027. A significant milestone was reached in August with the early completion of a pedestrian bridge over Via del Mare and Via Ostiense, which connects the Archaeological Park to the station. The project benefited from night shifts and cooperation with local police and the X Municipio.

Structural work is progressing, with foundation micropiles completed and static tests finalized. Upcoming phases include the construction of new connections, passenger building expansions, internal demolitions, and seismic improvements to increase accessibility. By the end of the year, ramps and platforms are slated for renovation, followed by the installation of new shelters in early 2027. The project will conclude with the redevelopment of Via degli Scavi and the setup of exhibition areas.
