Ostia Police conduct security blitz resulting in four arrests
The Polizia di Stato conducted an extensive security operation in Ostia, targeting various illegal activities across the Roman coastline. The operation, managed by the X Distretto Lido, involved checking over 600 people and 280 vehicles.
Authorities reported four arrests, three of which were in execution of previous incarceration orders. Additionally, five individuals were reported to judicial authorities for offenses including personal injury, possession of burglary tools, and the illegal possession of weapons and narcotics.
A drug-sniffing canine named Naja played a critical role in the operation, locating over 700 grams of narcotics. The drugs had been hidden in unconventional locations, such as old sinks and chimneys on building rooftops, to evade standard inspections.
