Ostrava region features modern residential design in traditional village setting

A new residential project in the Ostrava region demonstrates how to integrate modern living into a traditional rural setting without disrupting the local village character. The house features a minimalist design with a classic saddle roof, utilizing hidden gutters to maintain a contemporary aesthetic while respecting the surrounding architecture.

Designed by Dagmar Kurečková and constructed by the Wobau atelier, the home was built on a flat plot near a 200-year-old castle park. The owners, described as Ostrava patriots, chose the location for its proximity to the city, nature, and a university hospital. The construction utilized Satjam Rapid DeLux aluminum roofing to achieve its specific visual and technical requirements.
