Ostrog Monastery to hold annual memorial for Jeroshimonk Ilija

An annual memorial service for Jeroshimonk Ilija (Buha) will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the Ostrog Monastery. The commemoration includes Matins starting at 6:00 AM, followed by the Holy Liturgy at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Lower Ostrog. A memorial service (parastos) will take place at 11:00 AM at the Ostrog monastic cemetery.

Ilija Buha (1976–2025) passed away in Belgrade on October 2, 2025, and was buried on October 8, 2025, at the Ostrog monastic cemetery. His funeral services were led by Bishop Paisije of Dioclea, alongside Archimandrite Teoktist of Sopocani Monastery and Archimandrite Mihailo of the Holy Archangels near Prizren, as well as Metropolitan Dimitrije of Mostar-Trebinje and Zahumlje-Herzegovina and Littoral.
