Ostrołęka to pilot individual waste segregation in apartment blocks

The city of Ostrołęka has initiated market consultations to implement a pilot program for individual waste segregation in multi-family residential buildings. The new system aims to move away from collective responsibility for waste bins by assigning waste to specific residential units, allowing for more precise monitoring of segregation compliance.

As part of a broader municipal waste management modernization program, the city also plans to purchase two electric garbage trucks to reduce emissions. President Paweł Niewiadomski has signed orders establishing commissions to conduct these market consultations, which will precede formal public tenders for the technologies required, such as smart bins or user identification systems.
