Ostrów Wielkopolski former Komeda cinema sold for hotel development

The former Komeda cinema in Ostrów Wielkopolski has been sold to a local company specializing in feed production. The sale was finalized during the fourth auction attempt after the municipality significantly reduced the starting price to 2,533,860 PLN.

This price reduction was approximately 300,000 PLN lower than the previous unsuccessful attempt in March and nearly 700,000 PLN less than the initial valuation. A single bidder participated in the successful auction, and the transaction was confirmed following the mandatory seven-day period for appeals.

While official plans have not been confirmed, unofficial reports suggest the building may be repurposed into a hotel belonging to a well-known global brand. The new owner already manages other local properties, including former slaughterhouse facilities.
