Osun State flooding destroys bridge and property

Torrential rainfall has caused widespread flooding across several communities in Osun State, leading to significant property damage and infrastructure failure. In Ilesa, a bridge connecting Ijaregbe to the city centre was damaged following heavy downpours, effectively cutting off the community.

Multiple areas, including Osogbo, Ijesa, and parts of Ilesa, have reported flooded homes and disrupted movement of goods and services. Residents in Osogbo noted that blocked water channels contributed to the overflow, leaving many fearing further flooding. Local leaders and representatives have visited affected areas to assess the damage caused by the heavy rains.
