Oswaldo Montenegro to perform free concert in São Luís
Singer, composer, and instrumentalist Oswaldo Montenegro will perform a free concert at Lagoa da Jansen in São Luís to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Sesc. The event is scheduled for Sunday, September 13, starting at 5:30 p.m.
Montenegro will be accompanied by a band, including multi-instrumentalist Alexandre Meu Rei and flautist Madalena Salles. His repertoire includes hits such as ‘Lua e flor’, ‘Bandolins’, ‘Léo e Bia’, ‘A Lista’, ‘Estrelas’, and ‘Intuição’. The performance follows presentations by the Vozes da Sabedoria and Sons da Maturidade choirs, as well as the Sesc Musicar Orchestra.
As a prominent figure in Brazilian music with 45 albums and seven DVDs to his credit, Montenegro’s work has been recorded by various artists, including Ney Matogrosso and Zélia Duncan. The venue will provide accessibility features for the elderly and people with low mobility, including sign language interpretation.
