OSY announces driver recruitment and new bus safety camera project

The Athens Urban Transport Organization (OSY) is implementing several operational updates. The company has announced a new recruitment drive for bus drivers under fixed-term private law contracts lasting eight months. Applications will be accepted electronically via the OSY platform from October 1 to October 31, 2026. Eligible candidates must hold valid Category D or DE licenses and a Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC), with age requirements ranging from those born between 1971 and 2005.

In a separate initiative to enhance road safety, OSY has signed a contract worth over €627,200 with WINGS ICT Solutions S.A. to install 250 digital cameras across its bus fleet. The project, which includes technical support from subcontractor VECTOR TECHNOLOGIES EPE, aims to detect traffic violations and analyze road and traffic conditions within the Athens Basin. The project is expected to be completed within the next six months.
