Otemachi Gate Building completed in Tokyo

The Otemachi Gate Building has been completed in Tokyo, serving as a new landmark at the intersection of the Otemachi and Kanda districts. The 26-story, 85,000-square-meter mixed-use facility was designed by Mitsubishi Jisho Design and constructed by Taisei Corporation, along with several other contractors.

As part of the development, a pedestrian-only bridge named ‘Nakadori Sanpo Bridge’ has been established over the Nihonbashi River, creating a new urban axis connecting Yurakucho, Marunouchi, and Otemachi to the Kanda area. The project also includes the restoration of the ‘Kamakura Gashi’ area as a disaster prevention pier, featuring a 1,000-square-meter plaza and greenways to enhance the waterfront space.

The building will house rental offices and ‘MINORIWA,’ a business and industrial support facility focused on agriculture and food, as well as a tourist information center.
