Oto Klempíř faces scrutiny over Czech cultural policy document

Czech Minister of Culture Oto Klempíř is facing scrutiny regarding the development of the 'State Cultural Policy 2026–2030+' document. While the original, more comprehensive version of the strategy was the result of long-term collaboration between the Ministry of Culture, cultural organizations, professional groups, and regional authorities, a new version has emerged.

Reports suggest the updated document was produced quickly within the Nostický Palace, involving ministry spokesperson Barbora Šťastná. The timing and manner of the release of this revised document have raised questions, particularly as the implementation materials for the previously approved version, which were expected in June, failed to materialize.
