Otokar signs $1.47 billion armored vehicle export contract

Turkish defense manufacturer Otokar has signed an export contract valued at approximately $1.47 billion to supply wheeled armored vehicles and integrated logistics support services to an unidentified client.

The agreement is subject to necessary government approvals, the completion of letters of guarantee, and an advance payment from the buyer. To fulfill the contract, Otokar must provide letters of guarantee totaling $441,624,108.

Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2027 and will be completed in batches over a three-year period. The total duration of the contract is seven years, which includes ongoing logistics support following the final vehicle deliveries. This deal exceeds Otokar’s previous major export contract signed in 2024 with Romania.
