OtoMoto report highlights electric vehicle adoption trends in Poland

A report by OtoMoto titled ‘Factor E. Electromobility Impulses Among Drivers in Europe and Poland’ reveals varying levels of interest in electric vehicles (EVs) across the continent. While interest in EV ownership is high in England (69%), Portugal (67%), and Spain (65%), interest in Poland remains at 35%, matching 2025 levels.

In Poland, as of late July 2026, there were 157,000 electric vehicles on the roads, including 145,000 passenger cars. Despite the growing number of vehicles and wider availability, consumer readiness to purchase has not increased proportionally. Drivers show a preference for hybrid vehicles (52%) over fully electric ones (26%).

Key barriers to EV adoption in Poland include infrastructure concerns. Approximately 47% of respondents reported an inability to charge at their most frequent parking location, the highest rate among the ten markets studied. Experts suggest that future growth will depend on reducing consumer perceived risks and improving charging accessibility.
