OTP Bank Liga lifts energy-saving measures for matches

The Hungarian Football Federation (MLSZ) has announced the lifting of temporary energy-saving measures for professional football leagues. These measures, which aimed to reduce electricity consumption—specifically stadium lighting—due to energy supply difficulties and extreme weather, will be withdrawn from the NB I division starting next Monday, and from other professional leagues starting August 31.

Following these changes, the schedule for the OTP Bank Liga has been updated. The rescheduled derby between Ferencváros and Újpest is set to take place on September 3. This match was previously postponed to accommodate Ferencváros's preparation match against Real Madrid.

In the fifth round of the league, several key matchups are scheduled, including Vasas vs. Puskás Akadémia, where the league-leading Puskás Akadémia faces an undefeated Vasas side. Other fixtures include Paksi FC vs. Újpest and MTK Budapest vs. Nyíregyháza Spartacus FCA.
