Otsu City reports 48-year surplus as Nagano BCP rates remain low

Otsu City in Shiga Prefecture has reported a surplus in its financial settlements for 48 consecutive years. The 2025 fiscal year results show the city's settlement scale is the second largest in its history, with officials stating that all financial indicators remain healthy.

In Nagano Prefecture, a survey by Teikoku Databank reveals a significant disparity in Business Continuity Planning (BCP) adoption among companies. As of May 2026, the rate of companies in the prefecture that have established BCPs stands at only 20.6 percent.
