Ott Tänak and Martin Järveoja to compete in Tennessee rally

Ott Tänak and Martin Järveoja are set to compete in the American Rally Association (ARA) Overmountain Rally in Tennessee on September 18–19. The duo will drive a Toyota GR Corolla Rally RC2, a vehicle specifically built for the local market.

This participation is part of an ongoing testing program for Toyota. The team aims to gather critical data on the region's gravel roads, as the area is being considered as a potential future venue for a World Rally Championship (WRC) event. This aligns with WRC promoter Eric Boullier’s strategy to expand the series' global visibility.

Tänak, the 2019 world champion, currently serves as a test driver for Toyota, focusing on developing a prototype that meets new technical regulations for 2027. While there is speculation regarding Tänak’s potential return to full-time WRC competition with Toyota next season, neither the driver nor the team has officially confirmed such plans.
