Ottakringer Brewery to host rum and gin festivals in Vienna

The Ottakringer Brewery in Vienna will host two major spirit festivals in September 2026.

On September 18 and 19, the Vienna Rum Festival will hold its eleventh edition. The event features hundreds of rums from around the world, allowing visitors to interact with producers and explore various styles, from classics to limited editions. Highlights include expert-led walks, masterclasses, the European R(h)um Award ceremony, and auctions of rare bottlings.

On September 19, the venue will host the Gin Market. This event focuses on discovery and entertainment, featuring international brands and small-scale manufacturers. Activities include tastings on the malt floor, a ‘Botanical Playground’ for exploring aromas, a ‘Blind Spirits Challenge,’ and an ‘AI Mixologist’ station that creates personalized drinks based on user traits. The festival will also include live DJs and food trucks.
