Ottawa celebrates 200th anniversary with Nuit Blanche and Pique festivals

Ottawa celebrated its 200th anniversary through a series of large-scale cultural events, including Nuit Blanche Ottawa and the 21st edition of the Pique music and arts festival. The festivities transformed the downtown core into an open-air gallery featuring interactive installations, live music, and various performances.

Key attractions included interactive light installations such as Prismatica and Impulse, alongside aerial acrobatics performances like CUBO. The Pique festival, which offered free admission due to partnerships with the Ottawa 200 celebrations, hosted multidisciplinary events at venues including Arts Court, Club SAW, and the Ottawa Art Gallery. Musical acts and competitions, such as the Queertopia Kiki Ball, contributed to the city-wide celebration.
