Ottawa police report fatal collision and high-risk offender relocation

A multi-vehicle collision at the intersection of March and Diamondview roads in Ottawa resulted in the death of a 31-year-old woman and serious injuries to a 37-year-old female. The Ottawa Police Service Fatal Collision Investigations Unit is currently seeking witnesses or dashcam footage to assist with the investigation.

Separately, the Ottawa Police Service has issued a public notification regarding Aaron Gilpin, a 35-year-old male who has relocated from Smiths Falls to the downtown Ottawa area. Gilpin has been designated a high-risk violent sexual offender due to a criminal history involving sexual offences against a child, assaults, weapons offences, and theft. Authorities advise the public not to approach him if he is observed engaging in criminal activity.
